Website Design Frequently Asked Questions

What are your payment terms?
  • Fifty percent (50%) non-refundable deposit within 7 days before work commences.
  • Twenty five (25%) on acceptance of design with minor adjustments to be made.
  • Twenty five (25%) final payment on completion of project on delivery but before final handover.

How long will it take for my website to be designed?
The timescale of a website design project is often dictated by the client. If you have a deadline in mind I will endeavour to meet it for you. The most common delay in the creation and completion of a new website is waiting for content (text/images) to be sent to by the client. I endeavour to design and complete a website within 2 - 3 weeks.

What do you need from me exactly?
I will ask you to supply me with your logo and the content you'd like to include on the website. I will also ask you for inspiration (i.e. your likes and dislikes), contact details you'd like to show, accreditations and a few other small things.

Will we need to have a meeting in connection with the website design?
In some cases a meeting isn't necessary. I place website designs in a private folder where only you and I can view the content. I then liaise with you regularly to discuss the website designs in order that the design and functionality is exactly as you wish.

Who owns the website once the website design is completed?
The website belongs to you - I can send you a copy of the website if requested. This copy is for your retention and should you wish to use another website design or hosting company - you are completely at liberty to take this copy to them to use.

Do you develop websites using any Content Management Systems (CMS)?
Yes, most websites are designed with either Joomla or Wordpress, depending on the scope of the project.

Do you work on weekends?
Weekends are a valuable time to relax with friends and family. Unless otherwise arranged, all projects are scheduled during the week.
